January 26-30, 2026

Why?

In 2026, it’s time to elevate “make polluters pay” as a top priority for lawmakers everywhere and pass climate superfund bills across the United States.

American families and our local and state governments are paying the ever-increasing costs of climate damages while the fossil fuel industry continues to rake in massive profits.

In 2024, Vermont and New York became the first states to pass “climate superfund bills” that would raise billions of dollars from fossil fuel companies to help pay for climate damages and resiliency programs. Now, the fight has spread across the country.

These laws are only becoming more popular: 77% of voters now support climate superfund legislation, including majorities of Republicans and Independents.
